What happens if I don't register my dog?

All registrations should be paid by the 31st July 2026 as a 50% penalty gets automatically applied on 3th August 2026

If you get a penalty applied and want this reviewed due to special circumstances, all applications must be in writing. You can apply online for a Penalty Remission OR by downloading this form: Dog Registration Penalty Remission Form (PDF, 79KB).

On 3 September 2026, any outstanding registrations will receive a $300 Infringement (per dog) for failure to register your dogs.
